RS PM160-E Analog Output Pressure Transmitter
RS PM160-E combines MEMS piezoresistive sensing with digital compensation and calibration for continuous industrial pressure measurement. Choose a voltage or 4–20 mA output. The compact 19 A/F body covers standard ranges from 0.1 to 160 bar.
Applications and selection
For analog signal acquisition in industrial equipment, fluid-pressure monitoring and process control. Match the range and pressure reference first, then check the output, power supply, medium compatibility, thread seal and electrical connector. For pulsating or transient pressure, check the buffer configuration and the overload limit for that range.

| Pressure reference | Gauge (relative), sealed gauge or absolute |
| TEB (total error band) | −20 to 85 °C: typical ≤±0.25% FS, maximum ≤±0.50% FS; −40 to 125 °C: typical ≤±1.0% FS, maximum ≤±1.2% FS |
| Media and ambient operating temperature | −40–125 °C |
| Response time, voltage outputs | 0.5 ms (voltage outputs) |
| Long-term stability | ≤0.10% FS/year; this is not a room-temperature accuracy rating |
| Durability | >10 million cycles at 10–90% FS |
| Wetted material | SUS316L stainless steel, welded seal |
| Body size | 19 A/F |
| Ingress protection | IP67 for relative gauge; IP68 for sealed gauge/absolute; subject to the matching connector, sealing and complete assembly |
TEB is the total error band and includes nonlinearity, hysteresis, repeatability and thermal effects. Select the applicable typical and maximum values for the actual operating temperature range.
Output and supply matching
| Output signal | Output type | Supply requirement |
|---|---|---|
| 0.5–4.5 V | Ratiometric voltage | 5.0 VDC ±5% |
| 0.5–2.5 V | Absolute voltage | 3.2–5 VDC |
| 0–5 V / 1–5 V | Absolute voltage | 9–30 VDC |
| 0–10 V / 1–10 V | Absolute voltage | 21–30 VDC |
| 4–20 mA | Current | 9–32 VDC; 24 VDC recommended |
Static overload and burst pressure
| Nominal full scale | Static overload pressure | Burst pressure |
|---|---|---|
| 1 bar | 5 bar | 50 bar |
| 2 bar | 10 bar | 100 bar |
| 5 bar | 25 bar | 100 bar |
| 10 bar | 40 bar | 100 bar |
| 16 bar | 60 bar | 100 bar |
| 20 bar | 60 bar | 300 bar |
| 30 bar | 120 bar | 300 bar |
| 40 bar | 160 bar | 300 bar |
| 60 bar | 180 bar | 300 bar |
| 100 bar | 300 bar | 400 bar |
| 160 bar | 480 bar | 700 bar |
The table lists pressure limits for the 1–160 bar ranges. Confirm the overload and burst ratings separately for the 0.1 bar version. Neither overload nor burst pressure is a normal operating-pressure rating.
Connections, wiring and installation
Pressure-connection options include G1/4 A face seal, G1/4 A O-ring seal, 1/4-18 NPT, 7/16-20 UNF and M12×1.5. Electrical options include M12×1, Metri-Pack and DIN EN 175301-803-A.
